I was diagnosed with diabetes yesterday. I'm just pissed. Pissed at myself; at my body; at the situation. The irony is that I've been back in the gym for the last 2 months, have already lost 20 lbs (10 before I started at the gym) so part of me feels like too little too late. Still coping with the range of emotions but doing lots of research. Fortunately I'm already taking the steps needed as far as exercise and eating; just need to be more consistent with both. Have a doctor's appointment next week to discuss it and get my prescription for the meds she wants me on. Sigh.
