Continuation from the previous entry: The reason I hadn't gotten a response was because he hadn't read his email. He pulled me into a conference room and we discussed it. Pretty much, I'm a push-over. I agreed to the 2 week extension but with the requirements that it would ONLY be for those 2 weeks, I work from home, and I ONLY cover for the analyst. He agreed and said that ultimately I would just be needed for those 2 days and the rest of the time as long as there wasn't an issue that came up during that time, I wouldn't have to do any work. Effectively I get the same amount of money that I asked for with the contracting stint. The caveat is that it only breaks even if I only work on those days the analyst is gone. If I end up getting more work, it is a different story. I'm still a sucker.
