I'm tired today. I worked, between my 2 jobs, nearly 12 hours straight on Friday without time for lunch or dinner; just snacked on a few things I keep at my desk. Saturday I went to a parapsychology fair with a friend, then dinner at my mom's house. And Sunday I worked at my PT job from 12-8. I want a vacation day / weekend day!! It's all a big reason that I gave my notice at my PT job and will finish up there mid-November (yes, I was nice and gave 6 weeks notice). Between the two jobs & travel time (both jobs are 15-20 miles from my home, although they are close to one another so I'm usually driving about 2 hours a day), what little time I have left has to be spent sleeping, eating, doing house stuff, and anything fun/relaxing/etc that I might want to do. I don't get paid enough at my PT job to make it worthwhile, especially since I end up spending my paycheck AT the store! Defeats the purpose. :) So I had to make the tough choice to leave. I really like the people and I don't mind the job, I just need to for my own sanity. I also found a job posting for a position at a company I interviewed at earlier in the year that I would LOVE to have. I was actually offered the other job, but when they were getting approval for my compensation package, they did their budget and had to do a freeze for that department. Sucked! But this other job would be a perfect fit for me. I emailed the recruiter I'd worked with there because she has said to let her know if I found something else I wanted, but the email bounced back. I found her phone number and it was someone else's now, so obviously she isn't there any longer. However, one of my classmates from my MBA program works there (or did as of June!) and another classmate's wife does (again, as of June LOL), so I still have options. :) I have to update my resume tonight and then will be applying for it. They are wanting someone with an MBA, too, so that means MORE money!! AND - it's a LOT closer to my home - maybe 5 or 6 miles instead of the 17 I'm driving now. Woohoo - wish me luck! The psychic fair was interesting and a lot of fun. I'll have to share more of that later.
